Clarence Coast Holiday Parks is committed to providing an inclusive and enjoyable coastal holiday experience for every guest. Our accessible holiday parks on the NSW North Coast offer a range of features to support guests with mobility needs, disabilities, and accessibility requirements.
Accessible features across our parks include:
- Accessible bathroom and shower facilities designed for wheelchair users and guests with mobility aids
- Level pathways and open, easy-to-navigate communal spaces
- Accessible BBQ areas, camp kitchens and shared facilities
- Selected accessible cabin accommodation with ramps, wide doorways and accessible bathrooms
- Free beach wheelchair hire at Calypso Yamba and Brooms Head Holiday Parks

Selected accommodation options are available at Brooms Head Holiday Park, Iluka Riverside Holiday Park & Calypso Yamba Holiday Park. Including accessibility-friendly features such as ramps, bathrooms and layouts to support mobility needs. These options are designed to help make your stay as seamless and enjoyable as possible.
Beach Wheelchair Hire
The beautiful beaches around the Clarence Coast are becoming more accessible for everyone — including guests with mobility challenges — through our free beach wheelchair hire program. Beach wheelchairs support safe and inclusive access to the sand and shoreline, so more people can enjoy time at the beach with family and friends.
Hire is free of charge, however bookings are required and availability may vary. At the time of booking, users, family members, or carers will be asked to review and agree to the safe use conditions. Please contact your park prior to arrival to arrange hire.

Safe use guide
Beach Wheelchair — Safety Brochure PDF · Opens in new tab- Clarence Valley Council is the owner of the Free-Wheeler Beach Wheelchairs. There is no cost to members of the public for hire.
- The beach wheelchair is not a self-managed device and must be propelled by a responsible adult nominated by the person with disabilities. The hirer may be either the person with disabilities or their nominated carer.
- Clarence Valley Council does not cover the user or hirer for injury or damage to themselves or others, except to the extent that Council can be held legally liable.
- Any unsafe or irresponsible use causing injury or damage to others is the user's or hirer's responsibility. The user/hirer will be liable for any injury caused to themselves or any other person.
- Accidental damage to the wheelchair whilst in use may be covered by Clarence Valley Council, unless the user/hirer was found to be acting unsafely or not in accordance with the manufacturer's conditions of use.
- Please provide at least 24 hours notice if you wish to cancel your hire booking, so the wheelchair can be made available to other guests.
