1. Check Out the Beaches

Yamba is famous for its coastal scene, so it’s only natural that the beaches are first on our list. Whether you’re looking for family-friendly swimming spots, dog-friendly areas, the best surf, or a peaceful place to relax, Yamba offers diverse experiences for all beachgoers.

Main Beach: Perfect for surfing, swimming, or simply soaking up the sun. Yamba Main Beach is a hub of activity with the picturesque ‘ocean pool’ built into the rocks and beachside food and drinks available at The Kiosk. The beach is patrolled on weekends and during school holidays.

Whiting Beach: Ideal for young ones and those seeking a peaceful swim. Whiting Beach is the most sheltered beach in the Clarence Valley with only the smallest waves reaching the shore. Embrace the calm water and try stand-up paddle boarding or kayaking. The western end of Whiting Beach (west of the car park) is a dog-friendly on-leash area.

Pippi Beach: A popular spot for long leisurely walks or a game of fetch with your four-legged friend. The southern end of Pippi Beach (south of Dolphin Park) provides a dog-friendly off-leash area for your dog to enjoy a splash in the ocean.

Convent Beach: Convent Beach is a small, quiet beach shaded by vegetation. Take a dip in the clear water or simply sit and enjoy the tranquillity of this hidden gem.

Turners Beach: Patrolled during the summer season, Turners Beach is a hotspot for swimming and surfing. The beach is enclosed by the break wall, which provides a popular fishing destination and a lovely path to stroll and enjoy the scenery.
